| The canonization of a literary translation is influenced by the combination of cultural and social forces and the features of the translation. The formation of those features relies heavily on the translator, whose linguistic and literary competence, attitude toward his rendering, and selection of translation strategies shape the translation and further have impact on its canonization. |
