| The paper briefly expounds concepts：profession, values of profession, core value of profession, introduces research progress in the core value of librarianship at home and abroad, and puts forward to core values of Chinese library profession including providing information services, preserving information resource, developing education and training, safeguarding freedom and equity of information access based on China’s national situation and characteristics of the librarianship. |
