西方早期的本体论形而上学和中世纪的宗教形而上学都形成了一种实体型的思维方式。西方早期形而上学在历史上曾起过积极的作用。形而上学的发展形态是多种多样的,旧的形而上学必定会终结、被否定,新的科学的形而上学不仅可能而且必须成为现实。
