Abstract:The discourse authority of ideological and political education is a crucial concept for evaluating the effectiveness of ideological and political education discourse. Based on an explanation of the connotation of the discourse authority in ideological and political education, this paper conducts a profound analysis of the essence of such discourse authority from ontological, epistemological, and practical perspectives. It also interprets the components of the generation mechanism of ideological and political education discourse authority, namely legitimacy, truthfulness, aesthetics, and necessity. To support the “evidence-based” nature of ideological and political education discourse authority, efforts should be made from four aspects: constructing the content ontology, enhancing the charm of the educational subject, innovating the narrative carrier, and embedding the ritual context. The goal is to ensure that the ideological and political education discourse authority has “reason” with depth, “standing” with a fulcrum, “power” with practical results, and “benefit” with guarantees.
