Supported by emerging technologies such as big data, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence, the digital-intelligent era has profoundly changed the traditional modes of production, exchange, distribution, and consumption. The new type of production relations is an economic relationship that conforms to the development of the times and meets the needs of productive forces. Grasping the essential characteristics of the new type of production relations from the “four links” of Marx’ s social reproduction provides theoretical support for in-depth understanding and the formation of the new type of production relations. Forming a new type of production relations compatible with new-quality productive forces is a unique model of production relations based on China’s national conditions and the stage of socialist development. It is not merely a simple transcendence and reconstruction of the original production relations, but requires grasping the core issues running through the “four links” of social reproduction.
