Abstract:In the international financial system, the internationalization level of a country’ s currency is closely related to its status in the global economic landscape. This article proposes a “dual-core” strategy that focuses on both the digital currency RMB and the multilateral payment architecture. The goal is to strengthen the international status of digital RMB and comprehensively advance the internationalization process of the RMB by establishing technical norms, enhancing the legal and regulatory system, fostering collaboration among financial institutions, empowering payment enterprises, creating cross-border payment demonstration zones, and boosting the support of international financial centers. It delves into the synergistic impact between the digital RMB and the multilateral payment system, emphasizing the critical role of talent cultivation in driving innovation to ensure the efficiency and security of the payment system. Achieving the goal of becoming a financial power, the “dual-core” strategy is identified as a key pathway that can effectively enhance China’s competitiveness and influence within the global financial system, providing strong support for the comprehensive advancement of Chinese-style modernization.
