The philosophical and social science system with Chinese characteristics is an important component of the institutional system of philosophical and social sciences with Chinese characteristics. It plays a crucial role in accelerating the construction of philosophical and social sciences with Chinese characteristics and building China’s independent knowledge system. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping and the CPC Central Committee have attached great importance to the reform of the philosophical and social science system, pushing it to achieve significant accomplishments. The third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has pointed out the direction for the reform of the philosophical and social science system in the new era and on the new journey. In the new era, the reform of the philosophical and social science system must be guided by Chinese-style modernization, vigorously promoting the reform of the philosophical and social science system. By implementing the Marxist theoretical research and construction project and the philosophical and social science innovation project, we should maximize the innovation and creativity of philosophical and social science workers, pushing the philosophical and social sciences toward high-quality development.
