Abstract:With the development of service-oriented government construction, the content and scope of grass-roots civil servants have undergone profound changes, and the problem of pressure has become increasingly prominent, which has led to a series of changes in job satisfaction. At the same time, the younger grass-roots civil servants are deeply influenced by the Leaders’ behavior style. Whether the intervention of leadership style will change the traditional relationship between job stress and job satisfaction is worth pondering and discussing. Through interviews, field visits and questionnaires, 217 grass-roots civil servants in Anhui Province were selected as samples to explore the impact of different dimensions of job stress and leadership styles and their interaction on job satisfaction of grass-roots civil servants. The study found that the interaction between challenging job stress and authoritarian leadership and the interaction between benevolent leadership had significant negative and positive effects on grass-roots civil servants’ job satisfaction, while the interaction between obstructive job stress and authoritarian leadership and the interaction between benevolent leadership had significant positive and negative effects on grass-roots civil servants’ job satisfaction, respectively.
