Family mediation has many connections with social work since its emergence. With the develop_x0002_ment of family mediation as an independent profession, there are certain professional boundaries and distinctions between family mediation and social work. However, from the perspective of the development and characteristics of the mainstream mode of family mediation, family mediation has integrated more and more social work elements,including its ethics,values,intervention modes and methods. Training and practice of mediation techniques can also improve social work services. The mutual nourishment of the two professions has brought many benefits to both, so the integration of family mediation and social work is both a trend and a need. In view of the current situation in China, the integration trend of family mediation and social work is already present, and further development requires more cross-border cooperation and deeper integration between the professions.
