Abstract:Based on the 2011—2018 China provincial panel data, different spatial weight matrices were constructed, and the spatial Dubin model was used to test the spatial spillover effect of the digital economy on the effective connection between the achievements of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. The research re_x0002_sults show that: (1) the digital economy has a boosting effect on consolidating and expanding the effective connection between poverty alleviation achievements and rural revitalization, and at the same time has obvious spatial spillover effect. From the overall level and the regional level, under the weight of geographical distance and spatial proximity, the digital economy has a positive spatial spillover effect, that is, a diffusion effect, on neighboring areas; (2) the spatial spillover effect of the digital economy on the effective connection between poverty alleviation achievements and rural revitalization has regional heterogeneity, showing a trend of increasing in the east, middle and west, and the digital economy dividend in the backward western region can maximize its utility; (3) the digital economy has spatial nonlinearity for the effective connection between poverty alleviation achievements and rural revitalization, that is, there is a dual-threshold for the spatial spillover effect, and as the digital economy gradually crosses the threshold value, the direct effect on the region shows an inverted “U” trend, and the spillover effect shows a “U” shape.
