Social work embedding community is an important way to build a social governance community of sharing and co-constructing.However,under the current community management system and social service system in China,the professionalization of social work faces great challenges.This paper chooses a typical case of government service purchase to discuss the problems such as professional value deviation,low professional status and unclear professional boundaries after social work being embedded in the community.Furthermore,the author argues that the government should transform its functions to create more independent space for the development of social work service institutions,establish an effective classification system of community social affairs and clarify the functional boundary between community and professional social work institutions.Professional social workers also should constantly improve their professional level so as to achieve the in-depth integration of the government,community and professional social work.
