Abstract:A metaanalysis of 311 literature containing 406 effect values was conducted to explore the relationship between leadermember exchange(LMX) and employee creativity.The results show that LMX and its dimensions have significant positive effects on creativity.The LMX differentiation has significant negative effects on creativity.Cultural situation,national attributes,and measuring tools have obvious regulating effect.In addition, based on the theory of social cognition, this paper uses the structural equation model of metaanalysis to examine the mechanism of creative selfefficacy.The results show that the LMX can positively affect the employee creativity by improving their creative selfefficacy.Through indepth analysis, this study objectively reveals the internal rules among the three,and provides a more reliable theoretical basis for the improvement of LMX and the subsequent research on employee creativity.
