At present, academic impetuosity is prevalent, and the bad behaviors in academic integrity have increased sharply, which has affected the credibility and accountability of journal publishing and caused the crisis of academic trust. Block chain not only represents an advanced technology, but also is a new concept: a trust mechanism reconstructed to improve the order of the real world, which can be used for the reference in the construction and maintenance of academic integrity system of journals. Applying the characteristics of block chain technology such as decentralization, data nontampering, traceability and intelligent contract to the construction of academic journals’ publishing integrity and establishing an academic integrity guarantee system can make the contents of academic journals traceable and avoid plagiarism, plagiarism and embezzlement; confirming and recording the identity of reviewing experts for accurately matching with manuscripts, and increasing the disciplinary mechanism so as to make experts traceable and more justifiable and fair, realize the reexamination of the papers and avoid falsification of data and experimental process to ensure the authenticity of academic contents. The artificial manipulation and intervention should be reduced, the relevant evaluation indicators should be transparent, and the impartiality and objectivity of academic evaluation should be improved.
