Abstract:Colleges and universities are the frontiers of ideology at the new era. In the environment of “We-media”, firmly grasping the dominance of ideology in colleges is not only the need to gather consensus, the requirement of occupying positions, but also the necessity to make up for mistaken speech and the need to hedge. Faced with the challenges to the dominance, systematization and authority of ideology posed by the diversification of subjects, by the fragmentation of information and by the randomization of its contents in “We-media” for colleges and universities, it is necessary to adhere to and consolidate the guiding position of Marxism in the ideological field as the fundamental principle. Only by strengthening the dominant radiation consciousness, enhancing the effectiveness and attraction of ideological discourse, improving the ability of publicity and ideology in colleges, raising the college students’ subjective awareness of online ideology, enhancing the attainment of online ideological educators, building a new platform for big data discourse, and by establishing a focused mechanism for the public opinion, can we firmly grasp the dominant position of ideology in higher learning institutes.
