Chinese Political Discourse Translation is the practice of code-switching from the source language Chinese into target language oriented to foreign audience. Its standardized translation is fundamental to showcase the exact Chinese political stance and ideology in governing China to the international society, which contains the strategic significance of international communication. Based on Eco-translatology, this article discusses the ecological principles of selecting and adjusting in Chinese Political Discourse translation. It is noted that the process of translating political discourse is how a translator actively selects from and adjusts to the macro political ecological environment, i.e., the political purpose of source language, the connotation and the characteristics of the source language, and the cultural and linguistic characteristics of the target language, so as to boost its efficacy in translation.
