Abstract:Corruption must be controlled. Effectively controlling corruption needs citizen participation. At present, the function definition of citizen participation in controlling corruption is vague and inaccurate. It should be clearly and accurately defined. In addition, there are still some problems in the play of the function, for example, citizens do not want to participate, dare not participate, can not participate in the control of corruption. These problems can be solved by enhancing the interesting, convenience and economy of citizens’ participations, the influence of citizens on official decisions, the openness of procedures, the confidentiality and personal protection of citizens’ participation.
