Abstract:It is of great significance for psychological health education to help poor college students grownup,“support on both intelligence and ambition” plays an important role in blocking the intergeneration transmission of poverty.The research shows that currently the level of mental health of China's impoverished college students needs to be improved urgently.This research adopts SCL-90 to conduct a questionnaire survey on 27,667 undergraduates in Chongqing,including 8,445 impoverished students.Moreover,based on the survey,12 impoverished students are followed for intensive research.The survey result indicates that the level of mental health of impoverished college students exists differences in demographic variables such as sexes,majors and grades.The difference is much more remarkable between the total self-assessment dimension and each sub-dimension.The differences are specific in obsessive-compulsive symptom,sensitive of interpersonal relationship,anxiety,depression,terror,psychoticism and so on.This research proposes an education help system with targeted recognition,targeted support and targeted feedback to improve the level of mental health of impoverished college students.
