Abstract:Party identification is a very important concept in American election research in the 1940s and 1950s, and is considered to be “the core theory of public political behavior”. For the communist party of China, the parties identification, to a large extent, influences the ruling foundation, decides the ruling legitimacy, but the research on party identification relatively lags behind, in this case, in combination with the big background of the comprehensively governing the party, it is necessary to review the characteristics and origin of the concept of party identification, as well as the realistic problems existing in the current party identification, which provide reference for the further study of the communist party of China party identification and which provide the direction for the theoretical innovation.
