Abstract:As the most influential Afghan immigrant writer, Khaled Hosseini has achieved an international reputation for his delicate characterization and affectionate writing of Afghan society. His works gain wide attention of the academic circle both at home and abroad for his unique perspective, plain diction, sensitive subjects and profound implications. Currently, the study of Hosseinis works in the foreign academia has shown a trend of diversified development, while the domestic research is confined to the further interpretation of existing foreign study. This paper puts forward critics should emphasize Hosseinis works’ transethnic, transregional, and translanguage properties of immigrant literature in the context of post 911 era, reveal its unique function and influence of cultural bridge, and strengthen the localized and original process of Hosseinis research with more Chinese characteristics.
