Abstract:This paper attempts to investigate, analyze and review the work performance of eight years of the President Obama. The author believes that the United States economy in a series of policy, planning, strategy, driven by the recession has come out from the recession, achieved recovery, entered the seven years moderate growth. This article holds that the Obama’s most valuable or meaningful works for the United States in the future development has three: a) to put forward the “remanufacturing” strategy, to create a national manufacturing innovation network; b) to promote the development of green energy, increase the proportion of clean energy consumption, to improve energy conservation technology c) to promote universal health care plan, improve medical quality, make efforts to eliminate the longstanding American health care system. However, in the political pattern divided, some of the work is difficult to complete for Obama, some policies become a failure, such as: a) The United States restored diplomatic relations with Cuba, but the overall economic blockade of Cuba has not canceled; b) the plan to tax the rich for cutting America’s deficit, it is hard for Republicans to pass, and the federal government’s debt to the upper limit; c) the “return to Asia strategy” implementation, not only brings in the tension to the situation in the Asia Pacific, but also becomes very difficult to reduce the federal government debt.
