The central task of philosophy and social science of higher learning institutes is to cultivate talents. Based on the perspective of the central task of talent cultivation, this paper discusses the formation of the new pattern for talent cultivation in philosophy and social science in higher learning institutes by the synergistically boosting of students, academy, discipline and learning style (abbreviated as one center and fourlearning), expounds the ideas, principle, connotation and characteristics of the new pattern formation, points out several problems needed to be solved in the new pattern formation and advances that the new pattern should be used to promote talent cultivation quality in philosophy and social science.
