Abstract:This article is based on the data from 2008 to 2012, and 285 Chinese prefecture cities, by using bilateral stochastic frontier model to measure the level of the forefront of China’s urbanization process and the actual level of relative level of deviation degree of the frontier. Results show that low partial effect is greater than the upper partial effect, namely the whole China urbanization process is characterized by lagging, and find that investment and government role in the influence of urbanization in the expression is negative, and that urbanization also shows the regional imbalance. Finally according to the findings, this paper puts forward the corresponding suggestions.
