Abstract:This paper makes a content analysis of the skilled personnel recruitment in 390 Chinese manufacturing enterprises. The results show that there are four characteristics of demand for skilled personnel in Chinese manufacturing enterprises, firstly, the manufacturing enterprises generally have relatively low demands for skilled personnel and not high requirements on the basic qualification; secondly, the basic qualities, such as hardworking and able to bear hardships, equipment operation and management ability and so on, become the main requirements on the personnel for manufacturing enterprises; thirdly, the demand for the skilled personnel in the strategic newly emerging industries is relatively high, which becomes a new trend; fourthly, the demand for the skilled personnel in the private enterprises as well as small and mediumsized manufacturing enterprises is prominent. On this basis, this paper proposes four corresponding suggestions, including vigorously promoting the science and technology content of the manufacturing industry, increasing the training intensity of skilled personnel, actively guiding the skilled personnel to plunge into the strategic newly emerging industries, and improving the human resource management quality in privately operated small and mediumsized manufacturing enterprises.
