Abstract:Scheler and Heidegger both give up the empirical perspective of death, thinking the death is part of the essence of life; however, it belongs to certainty of consciousness in Scheler, Dasain in Heidegger. They both ascribe the death to the phenomenological time different from objective time; however, it is internal timeconsciousness in Scheler, complicated temporality in Heidegger. They both distinguish the authentic death and unauthentic death, however, the criticism of unauthentic death equates the criticism of modern European in Scheler, the criticism of common people in Heidegger.
