Abstract:Although Zhong Yunfang is famous for his antithetical couplet at home and abroad, he has made great achievements in writing poems. Zheng Zheng Tang Poetry is a collection of his 177 poems on 94 themes, among which 55 poems on 53 themes are of Gu Ti style and 122 poems on 44 themes are of Jin Ti style. Poems of Gu Ti style are all of Qi Gu style, while poems of Jin Ti style are all of Qi Lu style and Qi Jue Style, except for 2 poems of Wu Lu style on 1 theme. In terms of the theme, there are 7 themes of which are anticorruption, antidarkness, antifeudalism and antiimperialism in order to revive aspiration, rejuvenate the three cardinal guides and five constant virtues, encourage China to prosper and rejuvenate the new world. All the themes truthfully and typically show the intelligentsia’s torturous struggle and complete change in their lifestyles and on their minds. The thoroughness of antiimperialism and antifeudalism of Zhong Yunfang’s poems has made him a pioneer of didacticism and a revolutionist of the bourgeoisie.
