In the early days of the founding of new China, owing to the lacking of socialist construction experience and insufficiently understanding of objective economic law and China’s basic conditions, China’s socialist economic construction suffered serious setbacks. Facing this severe situation, Mao Zedong launched suggestions for reading more than once. He took the lead in the reading and put forward a series of originally creative views which made important contributions to the exploring and establishing of socialistic plutonomy. This paper summarizes his viewpoints from the angle of the tasks, objects, methods and contents of the study of socialistic plutonomy and then makes some simple comments and analysis.
