Ideal and conviction are always a new topic. Socialism ideal and conviction is not only a spiritual pillar for Chinese revolution victory but also is ideological guarantee for making great achievement of socialism construction. In the process of social transition of China， however， socialism ideal and conviction is attacked and challenged by social transition， system innovation， serious change of people’s ideology and notion as well as economic globalization. Currently， how to consolidate socialism conviction education and to reestablish socialism ideal and conviction becomes the first important historic topic. On the basis of the connotation and legality of contemporary ideal and conviction as well as the methods for consolidating socialism ideal and conviction education， the author makes exploratory thinking on how to strengthen socialism ideal and conviction education.
