Based on the exhaustive investigation of the property-words in Contemporary Chinese Dictionary(Fifth Edition),this paper analyzes the nature and characteristics of property-words.The nature of property-words is modifier of noun,can't be subject,predicate,object,complement,center,etc.it can be regarded as adv when it is modifier of verbs.Almost it can't make up syntagmatic relations with other nouns,can make up coordinate construction with content words that show property by way of conj.Can't combine others grammatical word except "de".The characteristic e of property-words is only modifier of noun,and it is bound form of stereotyped position.
