After ten years municipality,Chongqing commerce circulation industry has developed rapidly,but its contribution to the GDP and economic growth of Chongqing is not high,only amounting to 11.1 percent of GDP,far below the national average level(36.51 percent) and Shanghai(32.57 percent),even smaller than the average level of developed countries(15%) in the mid-1990s.By analysis of its contribution degree to economic growth of Chongqing and by horizontal comparison with Shanghai and national average level,this paper predicts its contribution degree to economic growth in the coming ten years so that the gap can be narrowed and the countermeasures can be put forward for the related departments of the government.
