In Northern Song Dynasty, the excellent poet Huang Tingjian was censured in Chongqing for six years, his “Mountain Valley Verse” has made the vivid description of the local character and style, has left behind the precious historical data and provided vivid and rich historic materials for our research into folklore, geographical situation, climate evolution and so on of Chongqing.
