Abstract:With the increasing of the need for highly-educated polytechnic talents,vocational colleges are rapidly devel- oped.The students in vocational colleges,as a new educated group,are better than the students in middle technical schools and are much different from the students of general colleges and universities and are special.This paper analyzes motivation theory and English learning motivation,meanwhile,as an empirical research report,this paper analyzes and surveys English learning motivation of the students in Applied Polytechnic School of Chongqing Technology and Business University and gives feasible suggestions for how to cultivate and encourage the students to learn English based on the survey results.
