    摘要:

    中国入世给旅游业的发展带来了前所未有的机遇。由于语言文化背景及审美差异的障碍,旅游资料的英译中充满了过度渲染和夸张的表达方式,影响国外游客对中华胜景的欣赏。旅游事业对外宣传中壮辞使用频繁,英译时应采取相应的翻译方法。

    Abstract:

    China′s WTO entry brings unprecedented opportunity to tourism development.Because of the barrier of language and culture background and aesthetic difference, the tourist materials which have been translated into English are full of excessive heightening and exaggerating expressions which affect the enjoying of China′s beautiful scenic spots by foreign tourists. Flowery languages are fre- quently used in English translation for tourists and the corresponding translation methods should be used when translating the fl(?)wery languages.
