Lu You used different attitudes to describe the painters, doctors, witch doctors, tailors and so on in his poems, and there was a short of objective description and narration about them. As a poet who pre_x005fferred subjectivism, in the poems which were related to the craftsperson, Lu You was more good at describing self-image and self-living plans, and intentionally or inadvertently shielded the information which was related to the craftsperson. This implies Lu You’s contradictory attitude towards the craftsperson and his personality that is not good at social interaction, reflecting a way of the scholar-bureaucrats getting along with the craftsperson.
