Abstract:In the critical period of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects,it is a major obstacle of national parks to win the battle against poverty,to help achieve overall poverty alleviation,Shennongjia National Park was selected as a case.This study investigated the perceived differences among poor residents in Shennongjia National Park on the economic,socio-cultural and environmental benefits of poverty alleviation through tourism,and the structural equation model was used to verify the positive relationship between their perception differences,satisfaction with poverty alleviation,and willingness to participate(competency and behavioral attitude)from the perspective of poor residents’perception.Besides,this paper shows that the local poor residents have a strong behavioral intention to participate in the tourism poverty alleviation while the lack of competency limits their participation.Finally,four specific suggestions were put forward according to the research conclusion by enhancing cultural connotation,improving competence by intellectual poverty alleviation;the satisfaction of poverty alleviation by subdividing the poverty alleviation scope,ensuring the efficiency of poverty alleviation by establishing multiple subjects,so that the relevant management departments can correctly guide the public participation under the guidance of national policies to promote the sustainable development and construction of Shennongjia National Park.
