Abstract:This paper studies the spatial effect of financial inclusion on boosting economic growth in southwest area by using 2007-2016 data of Chongqing,Sichuan,Guizhou,Guangxi,Yunnan and Tibet and by using spatial calculation model to analyze the spatial effect of financial inclusion on boosting economic growth.Research results show that the financial inclusion index in southwest area demonstrates rising trend as a whole in recent nearly ten years, there is a correlation in space. The regression results of Spatial Durbin Model show that there is a positive“U”shape between financial inclusion level and local economic growth in a province and its neighboring province in southwest area of China and that, presently, the financial inclusion level of all of the six provinces in southwest area of China basically locates at the left side of this U shape curve, which illustrate that southwest area of China should make efforts to raise financial inclusion level of this area so as to attain the goal for financial inclusion to promote economic growth.
