Currently, although China’s medical social workers team construction is still unfolding, medical social workers’ core ability construction is the key. Medical social workers should have the basic value ideas such as understanding other people, life consciousness and health promotion, and should master basic medical nursing knowledge, social work theory and method, medical health welfare policy and law.What’s more,they should be proficient in specific individual case management, service item management and social resources management.The core ability of medical social workers can be promoted by innovating major teaching mode, perfecting continuous education system, conducting top design and expansively implementing social propaganda.
