Abstract:Based on southwest minorities in the process of social and historical evolution of population diversity, cultural diversity, population mobility and other characteristics, the central dynasty in governance of the regional society, gradually adjusted the control and management style from the Song to the Qing dynasty. Construction of religious culture at the same time strengthened cohesion of religious culture while enhancing political identity and promoting ethnic solidarity and achieving more frontier ethnic social harmony and stability. Based on Dong and Miao society in the juncture area of Hunan,Guizhou and Guangxi, this paper uses the historical documents and field survey to obtain first-hand information to explore the important role of religious culture in the early local social governance.
