Abstract:As the living fossil of the traditional society and the main carrier of the local folk culture, the traditional national settlement plays its unique role in inheritance and cultural memory. Traditional village tourism has typical cultural consumption behavior, which is closely related to the value of the tourists. From the subject of value, a cognitive perspective of Chinese and Western tourists,this article takes the “China Tangan Dong Village” as the research object, from two aspects of time (before and after tourism), space (Chinese and Western), selects the six observation variables of efficiency value, quality value, cost value, service value, social value and hedonic value, probes into the western tourists’ perception of the tourism value of the ethnic traditional settlement, analyzes cognitive differences in the six variables based on the two, and provides ideas for the tourism development of ethnic traditional settlements.
