This paper discusses the existential verbs in Guiqiong, a Tibeto Burman language of Dar.rtse.mdo County (Kangding County) of Dkar.mdzes Prefecture (Ganzi Prefecture) in Sichuan province, China. We have chosen to study Guiqiong spoken in Maibeng Country. There are three existential verbs in Guiqiong, the use of them depends on animacy effects. In this article, the author describes the types of existential verbs in Guiqiong and Animacy effects as well as its influence on Guiqiong, grammatical category of existential verbs in Guiqiong, negation of existential verbs in Guiqiong and its corresponding negative existential cycle.
