Mr. Zhang Jiang proposes the viewpoint of “compulsive illumination”. The compulsive illumination does not only exist in western literature research, but exists in the process of the interpretation of ancient literature works by the reference of western literature research achievements, so that their obtained conclusions are not only deviating from historic context of the texts but also weakening the culture significance of the texts. Dufu’s poetry, as a representative of Chinese ancient classic literature works, intensively embodies Chinese cultural feature, but the Dufu’s poetry research since the 1900s has had the suspicion on “compulsive illumination”, therefore, analysis of the research is helpful for us to understand the charm of Dufu’s poetry from a new angle so that we can distinguish the meaning of “compulsive illumination”.
