With the advancement of urbanization, the original land reserve cannot meet the demand for the spatial expansion. Outskirts of city are transformed into the most important source of land. Land requisition makes plenty of peasants passively come into cities from countryside whose original life style and value meet unprecedented challenge and landlosing peasants group emerge. Land urbanization doesn’t result in anticipated peasant urbanization, and new dual structure exists in urban society causing lots of problems. By the study on the life style of landlosing peasants in the outskirts of Lanzhou, this paper tries to describe their lives transformed by urbanization, pays attention to their living situation, and further reflects present social policies and leads landlosing peasants to reform their life style and integrate into city life.
