In recent 20 years, the domestic research on American science fiction shows a rising trend year by year in China, has made pleasant achievement, has emerged a substantial number of academic periodicals and degree theses and has obtained many scientific research funds from Chinese Government and provincial and municipal governments, as a result, some universities also have set up science fiction courses and even recruited specialized science fiction graduates. However, the survey on the domestic researches on American science fiction finds that there are many problems in current research such as too centralized research authors, narrow research viewfield, insufficient research depth and so on, which urgently need to be consolidated in the perspective of research range and research depth. 
