So far, there are few comprehensive research results on compiled Local Records of Ba County in academic circle and there are different viewpoints on it, as a result, the source and course for the compilation and revision of Local Records of Ba County of Chongqing are worth discussing. This paper briefly illustrates the beginning and the ending for the compilation of Local Records of Ba County in history and emphatically discusses the outline and characteristics for the compilation of Local Records of Ba County in different time and space at the Qing Dynasty. Three Local Records of Ba County left behind from the Qing Dynasty, with their unique function and value, provide reference for us to search local culture information and to develop current culture.
