According to the big differences in ubiquitously overlooked discourse and narrative discourse in different research fields of journalism and communication in journalism narrative theory study in recent years, this paper discriminated the similarities and differences between the lexicology meaning and the academic meaning of “discourse”, discussed the great differences of “narrative discourse” between classical narratology and postclassical narratology, analyzed the philosophic background of “discourse” and “narrative discourse” and elaborated the scientific value of the similarity and difference of “narrative discourse” in different research fields such as applied journalism, academic journalism or communication on the basis of defining the basic applied journalism nature of journalism narratology.
