Newspaper of China began to be produced since Tang Dynasty.China,as the earliest coun- try to produce newspaper,is not the most developed country in newspaper industry.One of the rea- sons is that the strict news examination system of ancient China restricts the newspaper—run thoughts for defending imperial power.Analysis of news examination system of each historic period in China's news development history can reveal how each news examination system hinders the development of news cause.
