Lu Jia,as an outstanding literature scholar at early Han Dynasty,has important artistic thoughts.Xin Yu is the only existing work of Lu Jia and is the only existing original work for stud- ying Lu Jia's artistic thoughts.This paper discusses the function,aesthetics,artistic essence of the ar- tistic thoughts of Lu Jia's Xin Yu.
