    《德伯家的苔丝》被誉为是哈代悲剧小说中的经典之作。从毁灭苔丝的两个主要人物阿历克.杜伯维尔和安琪儿.克莱尔入手,我们从中探究造成苔丝悲剧一生的原因,进而挖潜小说《德伯家的苔丝》的悲剧实质。

    Abstract:

    Tess of the d'Urbervilles is the most famous work of Thomas Hardy's tragic novels.This paper discusses the cause of Tess's tragic life and the essence of tragedy in this novel from characters of Alec d'Urberville and Angel Clare.
