毛泽东在社会主义建设实践中,对商品生产和价值规律进行了有益的探索,形成了社会主义商品经济思想.但毛泽东商品经济思想的形成经历了曲折发展过程.邓小平继承了毛泽东发展商品经济的正确思想,纠正了其片面甚至错误的认识,提出了"计划和市场都是手段"、"社会主义也可以搞市场经济"的著名论断,形成了邓小平社会主义市场经济理论.
