| 邓小平新闻舆论思想是马克思主义新闻思想与中国特色社会主义新闻实践相结合的第二次飞跃。邓小平立足改革开放与社会主义现代化建设这一重要历史时期，创造性地提出了“要使我们党的报刊成为全国安定团结的思想上的中心”这一重要论断，成为邓小平新闻舆论思想的核心与灵魂。“成为全国安定团结的思想上的中心”是理解邓小平新闻舆论思想深刻内涵的逻辑起点，进而阐明了新闻工作的使命、核心、方法和目标。“实事求是”是使党的报刊成为“思想中心”的最重要条件，邓小平关于坚持实事求是使党的报刊“成为全国安定团结的思想上的中心”的论述，对新时代党的新闻舆论工作具有重要理论价值与现实启示。 |

| Deng Xiaoping’s news ideology was the second leap in the combination of Marxist news thought and socialist news practice with Chinese characteristics. Based on the important historical period of reform and opening up and socialist modernization, Deng Xiaoping creatively put forward the important assertion of “making Party’s newspapers and magazines the ideological centre of stability and unity of the country”. As the most important condition for making the Party’s press a centre of thought, seeking truth from facts has constituted the heart and soul of Deng Xiaoping’s thoughts on press and public opinion. “Becoming the ideological centre of national stability and unity” is the logical starting point for understanding the profound connotation of Deng Xiaoping’s thought on news and public opinion. He clarified the mission, core, methodology, and objectives of journalism. Deng Xiaoping’s thesis on adhering to the principle of seeking truth from facts to make the Party’s press “become the ideological centre of stability and unity of the country” has important theoretical value and practical revelation for the Party’s press and public opinion work in the new era. |
