Abstract:
The research on the diffusion of American social governance innovation has been conducted for more than half a century, and a large number of empirical research results have been accumulated. However, these studies are mostly based on single case studies, which makes it impossible to draw a comprehensive and holistic view on the diffusion of American social governance innovation analysis.Based on this, this article uses meta-analysis to comprehensively analyze the relevant researches on American social governance innovation, summarizes the factors affecting the diffusion of American social governance innovation, and summarizes the diffusion model of American social governance innovation. The results show that public demand, proximity effects, federal government coercive measures, policy entrepreneurs, civic ideology, single party control, elections, religion, and interest groups have an important impact on the diffusion of American social governance innovation.By further summarizing the various influencing factors,it is believed that the diffusion model of American social governance innovation is“social learning driven by re-election and election as the internal motivation and social pressure as the leading factor”.This discovery reveals the general law of the diffusion of American social governance innovation and also provides an important reference for related comparative studies.
